Reference: 09/11
To celebrate its ‘30,000-subscriber’ milestone, the publishers of CSIRO Education’s free weekly e-newsletter, Science by Email , have released an archive of the 100 top science activities distributed to students, parents and teachers over the past seven years.
27 January 2009

Science by Email activities use simple household materials to explore a range of scientific concepts,” says Editor Mike McRae.

“Whether it’s using empty drink cans to investigate how dinosaurs communicated or observing the carbon cycle with jars of algae, the directions make it easy for just about anyone to undertake simple and safe scientific ‘experiments’.”

Science by Email activities use simple household materials to explore a range of scientific concepts,”
says Editor Mike McRae.

The activities are a favourite section of Science by Email, which helps future Newtons and Einsteins across the country discover science through breaking news, quizzes, competitions, multimedia and more.

“It’s not just kids that value Science by Email – over a third of readers are teachers and another third are parents. Both look to Science by Email for scientific stimulus for young people,” Mr McRae says

Science by Email is produced with support from banking cooperative MECU and the Australian Government Department of the Environment, Water, Heritage and the Arts.
